The Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM)  is a Latino-based health, human services, community and economic development NPO that is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the Philadelphia area. APM’s mission and vision are as multifaceted and diverse as the people it serves. The organization creates job opportunities, revitalizes neighborhoods, and supports families and individuals . Stormwater management is one of APM’s priority environmental issues. For example, recently APM partnered with Community Design Collaborative and other organizations to run a design charrette to develop five alternative development scenarios for a location inside the service area. The scenarios included Third Places that had on-site stormwater management facilities and offered meeting and collaboration places for locals . In addition, PWD has announced American Street (located inside the service area) as one of the seven Stormwater Management Enhancement Districts (SMEDs) in Philadelphia.
